Let me teach you embroidery!

Hi! I’m Hannah. I started Sherwood Forest Creations in the spring of 2020 in the most unlikely of ways. I had been working as a Doctor of Physical Therapy and was on maternity leave with my 2nd child when the pandemic hit. Unfortunately, the clinic I had been working in was unable to withstand the closures and went out of business, so I was left with no job to return to. At that point, I had been doing embroidery as a hobby and decided to take this cloudy situation and find the silver lining…let’s see if I can make my passion my full time career. I started with live, online embroidery classes where I would send a kit in the mail and we’d meet over Zoom. Then eventually I created my beginner design kits with recorded video tutorials, turned my live class into an online beginners course, created my own line of stick and stitch patches, accessories, a few more courses, and now my kits and patterns have been stitched by people all over the world! Turns out, that cloudy situation was one of the best things that ever happened to me! I’m so happy to be doing something that brings me immense joy and to be sharing it with others.
